Original Article: Describes original research, or some aspect of design and operation, or engineering education.
Review Article: A critical review of the state-of-the-art of engineering developments or applications.
Case Study: Describes the application of a technique, procedure or operational concept in a real situation.
Technical Note: A short, interim statement on a research project or description of a new development.
Other types: Point-of-view articles, correspondence, conference reports.
Original articles, review papers and case studies should not normally exceed 5000 words and 10 illustrations. Longer articles will be considered on the criterion that the content justifies the length of the manuscript. Technical notes should not exceed 1500 words and 5 illustrations. Discussions on papers already published should not exceed 500 words and 2 illustrations.
Peer review policy
Submissions to IJUSEng are assessed by independent referees who make recommendations on the suitability of the manuscripts for publication. Our refereeing process is double-blind. We are committed to providing timely assessment of articles and authors are informed of the publication decision as soon as possible.
The text should be double-spaced throughout and with a minimum of 2.5 cm for left and right hand margins and 2.5 cm at head and foot. Text should be in Arial font and standard 12 point.
All files, including Tables and Figures, should be submitted as a Word document.

Provide full contact details for the corresponding author including email, mailing address and telephone numbers. Academic affiliations are required for all co-authors.
Guidelines for submitting artwork, figures and other graphics
Colour illustrations, pictures and graphs submitted in electronic format together with your accepted article will appear in colour online.
All vectors and matrices should be shown in bold type. Avoid confusion between ambiguous characters and take care to ensure that subscripts and superscripts are clear. Numbers below 10 should be written out in the text unless used in conjunction with units (e.g., four coordinates, 4 m). Full points (not commas) should be used for decimals. For numbers less than one, a nought should be inserted before the decimal point. Equations should be numbered sequentially throughout the document, with labels on the right hand side of the page.
